Ballast Point Tap Attack

You Can’t Miss This!
“We live to add our own touch and ask if there’s a better way. As we tinkered, tested and tasted, we discovered that making beer was more art than science. And while we respect and honor tradition, we relish the opportunity to take it further.
That freedom has allowed us to reinterpret brewing. And along the way help to reinvigorate the industry. From bringing a hoppy twist to a porter, or developing a proprietary yeast for our amber ale, to creating a breakthrough
gold medal-winning IPA.”

Chimay Keep the Glass Event

Glass on Draft and Bottle Tastings
KEEP The GLASS
The brewery was founded inside Scourmont Abbey, in the Belgian city of Chimay in 1862. The brewery produces three varieties of ales and a patersbier exclusively for the monks (Chimay Gold) The water for the beers are drawn from a well located inside the monastery walls. It was the first brewery to use the Trappist Ale designation on its labels. As with all other Trappist breweries, the beer is sold only for financial support of the monastery and good causes. From Chimay, Belgium.

Belching Beaver Brewery Tap Teaser

Rabid Beaver IPA
ABV: 7.0%, IBU: 60
This is brewed with a variety of specialty hops that are hard to find with
today’s shortages, including the evasive Simcoe. This beer is clean, brisk
and lighter than some with just the right amount of residual hops. The rye adds a spiciness to its malt flavor. Awesome!

Dammed IIPA
ABV: 5.5%, IBU: 19
This beer is smooth with lingering tastes of honey. It is made right in Poway from wild flowers and cloves. This is a very drinkable beer for both the novice craft beer drinker to the experienced triple IPA beer guy.

Milk Stout
ABV: 5.3%, IBU: 30
The milk stout is light to the taste yet frothy and silky. It starts with a
slight coffee roasted beginning and tapers down to a residual sweetness to
finish you off.

Friday,
April 22nd

El Toro Red ABV 6.3% IBU34
Rich amber ale with hints of smoke and spice that make it perfect for cooler weather. The low bitterness and dry finish makes this a delicious food beer-- no wonder; it was created in collaboration with John
Gorham, the mastermind behind Toro Bravo, Tasty n Sons, Tasty n Alder, and Mediterranean Exploration Company.

Passionfruit Sour ABV 4%
100% sour fermented wheat ale, inspired by German Berliner weisse and conditioned on passionfruit. Bronze medal winner at the 2013 Great American Beer Festival.

Wanderlust ABV 6.2% IBU63
Golden IPA made with five different hops, intense grapefruit and dank notes with a crisp finish. Bronze medal at the 2014 Great American Beer Festival.

Safeword IIIPA ABV 11% IBU 100

Released once a year uses over 9 pounds of hops per barrel. A tongue scraping aggressive beer with more punch then anything Breakside makes.

Sierra Nevada Tap Attack

One of the favorite tap attacks is back!
“We set out with a simple goal: brew the beers we wanted to drink. We started small, with a homebrew shop, a love of American hops and plenty of passion. In the process, we changed the beer world forever. Decades later, we’re still at it, and the passion burns
brighter than ever.”
Chico, California

REAL a gastropub is truly a REAL gastropub in Honolulu, Hawaii. Embracing the craft beer culture, we travelled throughout the Pacific Northwest, East and West Coast and visited numerous locations to capture the REAL essence and characteristics of a true gastropub.  After searching for the ideal location in Honolulu for almost three years, REAL a gastropub opened its doors on May 23, 2012 at the Ward Farmer’s Market.
REAL a gastropub is Hawaii’s first beer-centric pub dedicated to providing the largest and finest selection of high quality craft beers sourced from all corners of the world and the Hawaiian Islands featuring 33 constantly rotating taps, 2 beer engines, over 250 bottles and a full cocktail bar. Customers can enjoy a long list of pub-inspired grinds from Duck Confit Corndogs to REAL’s infamous Candied Garlic Bacon while set in a warm, unpretentious atmosphere. Food and beverage service provided in the main dining area, on the lanai and the second floor loft.

What is a Gastropub?
A Gastropub is a British term for a pub or public house that specializes in high quality food. The term is derived from gastronomy and was coined when the first Gastropub, The Eagle opened in London, England in 1991.

A Gastropub is “a place with a warm, inviting pub atmosphere that serves sophisticated, yet unpretentious food prepared to the highest standards of the best restaurants” to which an extensive beer list is an integral part of the concept.

Located in the popular Kaka’ako district at the Ward Farmer’s Market. Minutes away from downtown, Ala Moana Center, Ala Moana Beach Park, Neal Blaisdell Center and Waikiki.
